As a family-owned company, now in its third generation of cheese ripening, slicing and packaging, we at Vergeer always look beyond today. Sustainability is the result of long-term thinking: caring for our people, working closely with our partners, and making choices that reduce our impact.

A few milestones from 2025:

• Our CO₂ emissions (Scope 1 & 2) decreased by 85% compared to our 2022 baseline year.
• We committed to the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).
• 82% of the kilos we sell are packed in packaging formats for which a recyclable solution is available.
• Our employees rate us 7.1 as an employer, with a score of 7.6 for both engagement and job satisfaction.
